A Picture a day

I went to Texas over the weekend of Halloween and I started taking a picture a day. Things that make me happy or something exciting that happened in my life that day. The only day that I'm missing is wednesday...I thought I took one but must have forgotten in the start of my sickness. Here are the pictures this week.

Day 1 - on my way to watch the longhorns game in my new outfit :)

Day 2 - At the Renaissance festival with my flower wreath. I had so much fun! Next year I will be dressing up! :)

Day 3 - Halloween and I got to go watch Aidan play at his football game! :)

Day 4 - At the airport waiting to go home. I love flying and traveling!

Day 5 - I forgot....whoops

Day 6 - My bed...after a few days without it I sure appreciated the comfort of it.

Day 7 - The inside of the rental car I got to pick up for work. How fun it was to drive a newer car!

Day 8 - Watching a movie at Michele's and playin with her puppies. This is Roxy!

Day 9 - Sitting in the chair relaxing and wearing my new PINK snuggie! They are pretty fabulous things and they keep you pretty dang warm. I know you are jealous!

I hope that this picture a day thing is something that I can continue. It sure is fun to have this project to do. I'm starting to walk everyday and also journal more frequently. I'm starting to turn over new rocks in my life. So fun and exciting!

Lost in the abiss

Just over 3 months ago my life changed drastically, my father passed away. Things haven't been the same and I have been trying to slowly piece my life back together. I have things that I want to blog about but just haven't found the time. My last post was the just a few days before his accident. I will be back soon as a more regular blogger, just a little teaser. A new position, a new place to live, a book club and some summer getaways. :) Until next time :)

Summer is here!

Summer is finally here and I am already wishing for fall weather! I love every season except summer. It has never been my favorite. Or maybe it is just the heat. Anyways, I have been pretty busy with working at the school for the summer counting materials. It is super fun. Well at least I get to listen to music and dance by myself in the closet. A lot has happened since I last posted and I will do a detailed post soon enough. Some of the highlights are school letting out and Janora's wedding! I am living all alone by myself. It is nice but it is weird. I am now planning and packing stuff to move into my aunt's house. Should be fun. All the details will be coming soon. :)

The month of March

So I started the month off with a free stack of pancakes from IHOP. I went with Jenna and Jen. It was really fun. I made a goal to myself that I would try my hardest over the next couple of years to become debt free. It is going to be hard but I think it will be great to be out of debt. Then I had my birthday dinner with my mom, aunts and cousins (which is detail below). On March 14 I celebrate Pi day with Jen, Jenna and Lacey. We had circular foods such as pizza, cucumbers, oranges, carrots, cookies and even a pie. It was a fun day! That thursday we celebrated St. Patricks day with my kids at school and they loved having to hunt for their pot of gold that the leprachaun left them. That night I had a green dinner with Jen and Jenna. It was fun and yummy. We watched Mad Money. So far so good for the month of March. On Monday March 21st I went to my friend Kim's house to celebrate her birthday with her and her family. We had a nice little dinner and it was fun to celebrate with her. That thursday we celebrated her husbands birthday with a 6 course meal like they do in France. It was a mixed up dinner which made it fun to see what people would get on their different courses. That weekend I went home because my Aunt Terri was in the ICU after undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot on her brain. Since then she is still there but slowly making progress. :) That is good! We hope that she opens her eyes soon. I got sick at the end of the month or beginning of april. I can't remember. Anyways it sucked. But April has been treating me pretty good as well. I will update again soon. I have spring break in one week! I'm stoked!!!!!!

Birthday dinner at Tuscany

So back up to March 5th. This day was a fun filled day with my aunts, my mother and cousin. My aunt Kim came up from Texas and was going to treat my cousin, Morgan, and I to a nice dinner at Tuscany. In the morning wewent shopping and called my mom in Idaho to see if she would come down and go with us. After shopping with my aunts, I went wedding dress shopping with Janora, Kris, and Kris' daughter. We had a great time and found Janora's dress. After shopping I met everyone at my aunt's house and we all went to Tuscany.

To start off we all piled into Uncle Mike's new car and Morgan commented that it was like a clown car because we, my mother, Morgan and I, were all squished in the back seat. As we were driving there, Aunt Katherine was speeding and blasting music and we were all having a great time. We valet parked the car and went into enjoy our dinner. We were able to sit at the table right by the fire place. It was perfect!! We wouldn't have been able to get that table if my mom hadn't come down...so thanks mom!!!!

Our menus were the coolest thing ever! They lit up when we opened them. As the waitress was telling us about the specials, Aunt Katherine started to open her menu and her face got really big because it lit up. We all took pictures of each other with really excited faces when we opened them...haha it was so fun. Aunt Katherine popped a gum bubble as we were sitting there and Aunt Kim looked at her and said Katherine! So what does she do? Puts the gum underneath her spot at the table! Haha, we were all surprised!

Aunt Kim ordered everyone a fancy drink with champagne and cherry something and I got a shirley temple so that I was included. Thank Aunt Kim!!! We got yummy appetizers and yummy bread. Aunt Katherine was getting a "small" piece and she pulled out the whole middle of the loaf. She was on a roll...seriously! Priceless!! Our food was so yummy! I had a yummy pasta dish! I enjoyed every last bite of it.

While we were all letting our dinne settle and finishing the rest of the meal, Aunt Katherine went to the bathroom and came back and said she went to the bridal room. A minute later she pulled a used "footie" out of her pocket and some people at the table thought it was something other than a used footie. She is such a funny lady. The best part of the time at Tuscany was when they brought out surprise desserts for Morgan and I. My mom, aunt Kim and aunt Katherine all sang Happy Birthday to us but sang it really softly. Morgan and I were busting up laughing because they bent in towards the table and had such excited happy faces and then started singing softly. It took us a while to compose ourselves. The dessert was delicious! I loved it and the entire night.

On the way home we continued to jam out to classic rock in the car. We were laughing about something and my aunt Katherine says from the front seat, "I really need to pee I think I ned a pantiliner." Immediatley Morgan and I began posting our statuses on facebook relaying our fantastic night and funny liners and people said. We then continued to comment on each other's statuses as well as my mother and aunt kim. What a wondeful night! It was one of the best nights I have had with all of the ladies of my life. Thanks for a wonderful birthday dinner aunt kim!

Here are pictures from the evening!

A hodgepodge of the last couple of months and to finally be caught up!!

Well, February is almost gone and man has it been such a wild ride in such a short month. The most exciting part of February is Valentine's day...right? Well, when you are single then it isn't really the best day because it is not Valentine's day it is Singles Awareness Day or S.A.D. for those of your who like acronyms. But this Valentines day for me was much different than ever before probably because for starters Janora is engaged and we did not celebrate together and second I was able to spend it with some fabulous people from my ward! There were four of us who got together and we had a potluck.

First we had our appetizers courtesy of Jenna's students.

We had yummy cheesey garlic bread!!

Pina colodas to drink...

and cupcakes for dessert!

Here is the final product on my plate...looks scrumptous! Spaghetti and salad are two of my favorites!

We all enjoyed a great evening together while watching some episodes of Glee and then Romancing the Bride (love the eye candy in that one)...how appropriate for Valentines day.

The most most exciting part of the month of February was going home and watching the superbowl with my family! Especially because the Packers won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also because I was in P-town I was able to see my bestest friend Erika and go to the temple with her and spend the day in Idaho Falls with her. Also we were able to get together with the girls from highschool and catch up. Nostalgia is great! I love getting together and remembering are old days!

So after Valentines day it was Janora's birthday. We got together to celebrate at Kim and Ben's. It was a fun night! Here are some pictures of our night. We both had such great birthdays!!

So nothing really exciting happened in Janurary. My kids were a little crazy coming back from Christmas break. We were so excited to go on a field trip to a dance performance downtown at the capitol theater. The kids loved going on the bus and watching all the balloons fall from the sky. Oh! My good friend and coworker Katey moved to Arizona with my best friend :) and her husband Justin. Justin was lucky enough to get a job down there and they were able to move back to where they both grew up. It was bittersweet but now I have an excellant place to go to for spring break....right Katey?

Back up to the BEST month ever!!!!! December is always such a busy month with Christmas, New Year's eve, and my Birthday!!! First off we had fun FHE's in December which consisted of one; making a tower out of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows and second; making a gingerbread house which included snow. The pictures are below. Also a fun cupcake I received at some gathering in the month...Packer colors! Was this foreshadowing their win at the superbowl?

Continuing on into December...I was super busy at work with my kids and having them learn the songs for the holiday program. It turned out wonderful. We had the whole thing focused on light and we sang songs from the different cultures that have celebrations around that time of the year. We even did this fun song, Light up the tree, and the children all had little flashlights. It turned out great even if our piano guy couldn't see his music for part of it but I was able to help him out by shining a flashlight for him.

Janora was so awesome to me this year for my birthday. She threw me a surprise birthday party along with my friends Kim and Ben and their little baby Cameron. I had NO idea and was so shocked when it happened. It was very intimate but very fun. I received two copies of Despicable Me. My friends know me too well! On my actual birthday I had to sing in church for the Christmas program in the choir and in a small group. It was really fun. My friend Sarah invited me over for dinner and her mom made me a yummy chocolate cake. I also got to play Just Dance 2 on the Wii and absolutely loved it and still do to this day! Also that Monday at work I received a bouquet of flowers from a student at the school. They were so beautiful! I have never even taught her so I was so shocked to get something from her. A boy from my class gave me a hat, gloves, and 2 scarves. One of the scarves and the hat were both made by his mother. They were so pretty! I loved it. I had the best birthday ever! Turning a quarter of a century old wasn't so bad.

Pics from my surprise birthday party!

My beautiful flowers!

My homemade hat and scarf!

Another thing that happened in December was I wore my first ugly sweater. I also didn't buy it, well I bought the stuff to make it ugly and boy was it ugly! I won a prize at the party that I went to. It was an awesome snowman clock that sings a Christmas carol every hour and if it is dark then the songs are really quite. It was awesome and such a fun night!

Christmas was fun with my family. All my aunts were able to be there for the firs annual Wolf Christmas Eve party. It was fun to have our gift exchange. I had the best gift ever! I made a plate of a family tree with all the families names on it. It was pretty fun. I was able to walk away with the 2nd best game for groups. It is a trivia game called Smart A$$. We had a fun night it was fun to do things with my family that I hardly ever get to see. My cousins and I also got into a marshmallow war with PVC pipe shooters! Seriously so fun! Here are some pictures from that week!

So this last part is an update that I started back in November...but never finished it.

So first and foremost...Happy Halloween...yesterday. I got good use out of my costume. First, I went to 2 dances, one party and a wore it to school. The fall festival at school was fun. We had lots of cute costumes from all the kids. My co-teacher and assistant were a scarecrow and a red M&M. All my kids had a blast doing all the games and seeing their parents. It was a lot of work but worth it to see the kids happy and smiling.

Me before my last "boo-rah" for Halloween. I loved my costume and am very glad I invested in it.

So back tracking a little...back in.........September. The Utah State Fair came to town and Janora and I went to the rodeo. It was fun. We played a carnival game, looked at the livestock, I ate a funnel cake and we enjoyed watching the cowboys at the rodeo. Here are some pics of that fun event.

I have great plans for March! The beginning of the month starts off with free pancakes, Dr. Seuss' birthday, National Pie Day, St. Patrick's day and the first day of spring!! I can't wait for another blog post but seriously it will not be as long as this one! Hope you enjoyed catching up with me!! :)

Until next time Blogger stalkers!
