Recent Happenings....

Here are some recent happenings...well maybe not recent but since I last blogged. First, I was going to move in June but didn't because of a leak and mice...yuck. So then Janora and I found another place to move into with a friend but first....

I went to Tiffany and Nick's sealing in the Mt. Timp Temple in July. It was so much fun and I was very honored to be there. Thanks Tif!

The next day I was the DD for Sheryl and Steve as I accompanied them to our company party for Children's Academy Preschool. It was a Luau so I tried to look cute...but the next day ended up with Parvovirus and had swollen hands and legs for a week plus I was very sleepy.

My next venture was the day that Janora and I moved into our hose with our friend. We went to the Fray concert and Jack's Mannequin opened for them. I fell in LOVE with them. Thanks to Heidi for giving me their cds!!!

Waiting for the Fray but getting off the high from Jacks!!!!

The Fray was awesome! I would love to go and see them again someday!

Skip a few weeks into the future. Trainings for work are finished and I'm about to start my new job but first a Nickleback concert!

Opening band Hinder. Fun to sing along to the songs I knew. Good performers!

3rd time seeing Nickleback! I love them!!! Chad was a little more foul this time because he was drinking a little more but I still love their music!

Rockin' out at the concert!

October rolled around and I had the opportunity to see Jim Brickman for the 2nd time in concert! He is such a romancer and I love his songs! Sarah, my co-teacher, went with me. It was fun to go back to Rexburg. I also got to see Stevie, one of my favorite roomies from college!

Sarah and I with Jim. He signed a sign for us to give to one of our kids in our class. It was super fun!

The next weekend we drove to St. George to go to the wedding of two of our friends from the singles ward. Janora is relaxing after our long drive!
Stretchin' my legs before the luncheon after the sealing
After doing a session in the St. George temple. It was a beautiful day!
This was how they had everyone sign their book. Take a picture sign by your picture, dress up for your picture! Wonderful and fun idea!
Kim and Ben Wouden. They are some of the best people I know. And expecting their first baby boy in late July!
Janee and myself entertaining the masses at the reception
Once again with the entertainment with Maressa

My sidekick! Gotta take a pic while we are having fun!

November was the month for TSO!!! I was so excited to be a repeat offender and have Janora with me as a TSO virgin! Best light show and music, I love them and want to go again but maybe not to a matinee...it seemed like we got cheated because of time.
One of the BEST violinist I have EVER heard!!!
Catching the end of the concert did I mention we were FIVE rows from the front RIGHT IN THE CENTER!!! BEST SEATS I HAVE EVER HAD FOR A CONCERT!!!!!!!
I love this man. Chris is the sexiest bass guitarist I have seen!
Janee, Charlotte, Janora and I after an awesome TSO concert!

In February my dear friend Laura left on her mission to Santiago, Chile. My old roommates and I got together at Laura's parents mission home to have a final dinner. We got silly with the camera like always....see the next three pictures.

Craziest set of roommates I ever had!!!

March brought SPRING and the Holi Color Festival down in Spanish Fork. The four of us went last year but didn't get any color on us so we tried again and succeeded this time!
YAY! I got color packets to throw this year!
Do you like the new shade of my hair?
Janora and I after the intense cloud of smoke and the throwing. We got colored up baby!!!
The aftermath of the colors! It was so much fun this year!!!
March also brought Michael Buble! Naturally Seven opened for them and they were amazing!
The group of girls minus 2. Natalie, myself, Christina, Natalie, Sarah and Nancy on the front. Karen and Nicole were in their seats. So much fun to go with most of the people you work with!!
One of the best concerts of my life! He is so great, sexy and an amazing performer! I loved every second of this concert!
Look at that smile!

Wonderful night with wonderful company!
The very next morning, after Michael Buble, I woke up to Snow on April 1st with hardly any sleep so I could get to the airport to fly to Myrtle Beach to visit my grandparents. I almost missed my flight and almost couldn't check my bag because we were late getting to the airport because of the snow but I made it and after a long day of traveling I enjoyed being able to put my feet into the Atlantic ocean!
The next morning Kathy, my step-grandfather's daughter, and I woke up really early to watch the sunrise on the ocean! I was super tired because I was running off little sleep the day before and a time change but it was worth it! The picture above is one of my favorites!!!!
Yes, I look horrible with no makeup but it was early and all I did was roll out of bed put on some clothes and go to the beach. Who cares right?
My beautiful grandmother and I at the Dixie Stampede. It was so entertaining and very filling with all the food we got. I love her and was so happy I got to see her!
The chicken that I got....I ate maybe 1/8 because I had do much more food and was really busy taking pictures!
Don't worry everyone...I found myself a cute cowboy at the Stampede!

Earth Day 2010 was wonderful. I made earthbeads with my kids so we could make an earth day necklace (see in picture) and then Janora and I went to Earthfest downtown and got to listen to some pretty good music. I mostly went for Hey Monday and Train but the lady in the green jumpsuit dancing to some rapper guy was probably the funniest thing I have ever seen. The video will be posted on here.
The lady in the green jumpsuit. She was so serious about dancing that she was stretching before Karl Wolff came out. After that performance she left...sad but we enjoyed watching her while she was there!
Hey Monday! I really enjoyed listening to them they were entertaining!

Train! I loved them! It was fun to hear them perform live!
Janora and I all bundled up during Earth Fest 2010! It was a little chilly but we still had a blast!
I don't have pictures for some of my more recent happenings. I volunteered at a Multiple Sclerosis walk with Sarah and Janora in April. We got a Disney Day pass that Janora and I are going to use in the summer. On May 8th, I walked/ran in the race for the cure 5k for breast cancer. Also that weekend Erika and Brian came down. We went to all sorts of places downtown and hung out with them all day it was pretty fun! Back in March I went to the Planetarium with my kids at school and in May we went to the firestation and Wheeler Farm. My last week of school is this week and then I have one week of training in June and I am free for the summer. Janora and I are going on a 3 week road trip down to Disneyland and up the coast to Washington to see her family. We will hit some stops on the way. I am really looking forward to camping in the Redwoods. Then in July we have to move again....oh well. We might go to some summer concerts but we shall see. I will try to post more often. Hope you enjoyed looking at all my pics!
